packing

Backpacking is one of the most exciting and rewarding forms of travel. It allows you to explore the world in a unique way that you couldn’t do on a typical holiday. Whether you’re travelling for two days or two months, backpacking can be an incredibly rewarding experience that teaches you new skills, builds your confidence and brings out the best in you.

1. Learning to be comfortable with the unknown – Backpacking will push you out of your comfort zone and into the unknown. You will waive goodbye to security blankets, like familiar foods, places, and people, and will be encouraged to explore, try new things, and be open to all the possibilities that come with travelling. Adapting to new environments and cultures can be both frightening and awe inspiring, as you take up residence in a ‘land of the unknown.’

2. Meeting new people and building relationships- Backpacking can be a wonderful way for you to make friends from all over the world. You’ll meet all sorts of interesting and passionate people, all united by a common love of adventure. That shared adventure can create strong friendships and lasting connections, as you go through the highs and lows of travelling together
